The magnificent gardens are part of a special area of the city located very close to Old Town. Scattered inside the gardens, there are half-dozen mansions built at the beginning of the 20th century.
But the gardens also connect the Ambassador Auditorium, the Harvest Rock Church, and the Private Maranatha High School. Ambassador is one of Pasadena’s most interesting public gardens.
The thirty-five-acre property is blessed with dozens of mature trees, several park-like areas, beautiful fountains, and artificial lakes. In the 1950s, the Worldwide Church of God bought the property and assembled the gardens and the mansions to be used as the Ambassador College.
The school’s twenty-year development process culminated in the construction of Ambassador Auditorium in 1974. In 1997, the church closed the college, and the property was sold.
